Corvette Factory Renovation
The Corvette Factory in Bowling Green Kentucky is set to under go a $131 Million Renovation starting in September of 2012. The state of Kentucky has approved $7.5 Million in Tax incentives for GM and estimated that it will produce 250 additional jobs for the immediate area.
GM has made the Corvette exclusively at the Bowling Green Plant since 1981.
The plant itself will not expand, but what goes on inside the walls will change significantly.
The investment will allow General Motors to continue to produce the Current and future
C7 Generation at the Bowling Green plant.
UAW Vice President Joe Ashton stated, "We need to rebuild the great American Middle Class, there is no better way to achieve this worthy goal than providing meaningful jobs like the ones being created in Bowling Green.
At Custom Corvette Accessories, we could not agree more.
